Weird, Wacky & Strange Coaster Bits

Re: Wierd, Wacky & Strange Coaster Bits

Twin Looper was actually HORRIBLE. The lift hill aged you it took that long </3

Re: Wierd, Wacky & Strange Coaster Bits

How can they be riding and smiling? I'd be scared ****, especially to go backwards!

Edit: where along the lines did this look like a good idea?

Re: Wierd, Wacky & Strange Coaster Bits

An in-house coaster gone seriously wrong. A few weird things about this one.

That bogey looks like someone made it in their garage. Its also using aviation tires, those are on my Cessna.

The whole ride is just strange. I cant believe they built it thinking it would work. Instead, its been SBNO for years.

Re: Wierd, Wacky & Strange Coaster Bits

^^But, the same company has just opened a launched coaster at another park (not this design, but the cars are basically the same), so it might not be too long until we see this thing actually open.

^^^That water chute thing looks strange, but it's basically a copy of some rides that were built over here in the 1950s:

Re: Wierd, Wacky & Strange Coaster Bits

The new Eurofighter at Zoosafari Fasanolandia have a pretty funky in-line twist, it's a bit bent in the middle so after turning 90° to the side then it seems like you are on a side-way airtime hill which force you out of the seat.

Little hard to describe but I'll have a look through my images from Italy to see if I could find one that shows it...

Re: Wierd, Wacky & Strange Coaster Bits

Did anyone ever Ride the Water Chute ride in Rhyl, was it any good?
I rode the one at Blackpool before it was torn down and hardly got wet and was pretty bad in General.

This is the roll in question?

Re: Wierd, Wacky & Strange Coaster Bits

Yes, but that image don't really show it...
When you get to the 90° point you don't really see where the track is going and you get launched out of the seat.

Re: Wierd, Wacky & Strange Coaster Bits

Thunderation at Silver Dollar City is another ride that has backwards facing cars. They make the ride pretty epic.

Really old Intamin ride that at least a small hanful were made of. What is odd is the fact that there seems to be low supporting and just the rails, no spine or tresses at all.

Switching between the hideouts'...

Re: Wierd, Wacky & Strange Coaster Bits

^ That whole park was picked up on a few pages back. Take a look at the massive duelling Intamin coaster, their first big coaster!

Re: Wierd, Wacky & Strange Coaster Bits

The exit from the sidewinder looks very...different.

This isn't necessarily weird, wacky or strange, but it is different, and quite cute;

It was a Bridlington for a few years, but now travels the european fair circuit.

Re: Wierd, Wacky & Strange Coaster Bits

I have ridden one of those in South Korea, it was awful and the restraints were loose...

Re: Wierd, Wacky & Strange Coaster Bits

I can see where the S&S El Loco got its inspiration from.

Re: Wierd, Wacky & Strange Coaster Bits

^ Ugh, the Bridlington one was disgusting. I secretly loved it though <3.

I just stole this from a post someone else made somewhere else...

Such a spiteful Mobius though, and it looks like you do both 'sides' in one ride because there's only one staysh.

Which is funny becaue now they have double spined tracks like I305 and Skyrush.

^That looks wierd, as most other traveling rides are. In fact, like, half our topic has coasters/flats that are in the Traveling Fair Curcuit.

Re: Wierd, Wacky & Strange Coaster Bits

I just used this as an example in the CRAZY ASIANS! topic, so thought I'd stick it in here. I've got a feeling it may have made an appearance in here already, but I can't be arsed to trawl all the way through the topic.
