Your worst spite

back in june went to kings island for the 1st time, and on day 2 of K I it was off and on pouring rain most of the day. what coaster did I want to ride, but got told it was down for an unknown amount of time... MYSTIC TIMBERS. must have checked 5 different times through out my time there that day to get the same old same old, "we don't have a time estimate for when it'll be open."

Wild one was an annoying niggle not to get out of SFA. They had trouble all day trying to get it work. Trains spent most of the time halfway up the lift or break run.

Batwing of course, although I knew that going in.

Might do a write up given otherwise it was a good day and the park looks great. Not sure SF warrant praise given they left it to rot and too late to give this place any attention.

Excalibur and Renegade at Valleyfair are probably my worst spites, due to the park being flooded for my visit last year. I still had a decent few hours at the park without them mind, and I'm not rushing to go back for them.

I had the same issue with Mission Ferrari - twice.
First time it went down for quite a while and the second time, it was supposed to be out of maintenance a few days before I went to the park. However, they spontanously extended the closure for a week.

Up to last year my answer would have been Silver Bullet at Knott's, kind of by default. I hadn't had a single spite i would consider major back then. Then this year, right after I hit 600 creds, I get 2 in the space of 3 days. First Batwing, then Intimidator 305. I'm still missing half the creds at Six Flags America, including Batwing, Roar, and Superman (although I did get on its clone at Darien Lake). Luckily I at least got a ride on Wild One. That coaster was great fun. As for Intimidator, it's annoying that the new lift motor took so long to get, but i'm not sure what the park could have done about it, given how strict Intamin are about parks using outside suppliers.

My worst spite is from almost 20 years ago. It was 2006 and i had planned to travel through California, Arizona and Nevada with a tour group in September of that year. Everything was already booked a couple of months in advance, including my visit to Six Flags Magic Mountain.
But in August i heard X was closed because of a gearbox problem and it could't be solved in one month.
I still had a great day at SFMM, but it still is a huge pitty not being able to ride X.
And my only other visit to the Usa, was in 2009, for a trip around Florida.

In my recent visit to Orlando, the following were closed:

Journey to Atlantis and Infinity Falls (SeaWorld Orlando); cold weather
Big Thunder Mountain (Magic Kingdom); extended maintenance
Cheetah Hunt, Falcons Fury, SheiKra (Busch Gardens Tampa); unannounced maintenance

It was definitely I-305. Went in May of last year and it was so upsetting just looking up at it and seeing it taunting me.
I also missed both Raging Bull and Maxx Force when I was at Great America last year.

Florida does seem to be the spite capital.

Sheikra, Kumba and Journey to Atlantis all missed last March.

I was spited by one side of Fiorana Challenge last week. I was quite glad - it's a ****ing terrible ride.

Ride to Happiness and Anubis on my first visit to Plopsaland Belgium due to very high winds.

More than made up on my second visit to the park weeks later.
