What's new

Kolmården's Djurpark | Wildfire | RMC Wooden Coaster

RMC has continued sharing photos of their new coasters… wonder when they'll share some of Joker construction? ;)

Terrain is definitely much more tedious here than that of LR.

Not quite as exciting as LR imo, but this is still probably going to **** all over the rest.

It's great to see more and more RMCs sprout up in a variety of areas. Hopefully soon everyone will have one nearby!

Glad they finally were able to release a realistic POV. Excited to see forward progress - this coaster is just what I would expect for if you could add on 30 more seconds to Outlaw Run.

This POV looks even better than the previous! Here it becomes obvious just how ground hugging the layout is :--D

^ That's what I was most impressed about as well. Outlaw Run showed some potential for hugging the hills, and Iron Rattler worked well on the cliff, but this really pushes support structures down to near zero points on the ride, especially with turns and drops in the second half. Very neat to see a design take advantage of its environment. :)

Weekly updates from the park include these 2 videos. Love them both.
They've also changed the main Wildfire site, and it's a hell of a lot better, everything is on the main page and all the important videos are all showing there for easy access. Same with the Instagram pictures. There's also a timelapse showing construction and some more stats, such as;

2 min ride time
4266ft long
187ft tall
161ft drop
83 degree drop
71 mph
960 pph
2 x 24p trains
47" Height Restriction
3 Inversions
12 Airtime moments

I'm booking my flights for a family holiday to Sweden for the end of August, so glad this is being built nearby.

Looks like the lift hill/drop will have some kind of steel structure like Goliath had, looks pretty neat.

Presumably then, there'll be some sort of CF Live to Sveeden in 2016?
If there is, count me in.
