Music Recommendations

No Doubt have a new album coming out in September, more than 10 years after their last one.

They were my favourite band in the mid-late '90s / early 00s, so looking forward to the album coming out. Gwen Stefani is still looking GOR-GEOUS as well.

Better than their official first single off their new album 'Uno!' IMO
 
The second single off Muse's new album just came out the other day. It's not very Muse-sounding (which apparently is the predominant feature of the album), but I like it anyway. It builds pretty nicely and has a cool vibe to it, and at any rate, it's much better than "Survival." Has me feeling much more optimistic about the forthcoming album.

deadmau5 is also coming out with a new album next month and if this is any indication, it sounds like he's doing some different things & branching out a bit as well. Not a big fan of My Chemical Romance but I love the vocals on this collab track, and of course deadmau5's production is unmatched.

Sounds like Muse are trying to pull a 'Kid A' with this album, but since Black Holes, I doubt they'll be able to pull anything that good off. The three songs I've heard off the new album have been awful, and I don't mind dubstep to an extent, but Muse-step... No.

The album will suck. Muse, your time is running out...

On the other hand, new Coheed and Cambria song, and it's **** huge!

Only just discovered these, they're awesome! They followed my band on twitter and talked to us, they seem like a really cool group of musicians. Also, very hot Icelandish girl, I couldn't complain at all <3

That track is possibly the best thing i've heard in years. I love it. Album's pretty good too, definitely worth a listen, and definitely more worth spending money on than the new Bloc Party effort!
 
^They're pretty much my favourite band (apart from Coheed and Cambria), absolutely love that song. It's not my favourite by them though, plus their first album was definately more of a grower than METN, it's so good.

I'm liking it, but not loving it at the moment, which is a shame since it's been 11 years since their last album (not including Gwen Stefani's solo stuff), and I've been a massive fan since the '90s. I'm hoping it will do a "Return of Saturn" and grow on me after a few more listens. I'm loving Settle Down and Push and Shove at the moment though.

Lets see, Havent posted anything to be ignored in a while, and I have something really good too My Morning Jacket. When I first started listening to them a year or so ago I didnt like them except a few songs. But around the time their last album came out I was curious, so I gave them another shot and ended up loving it. They have a wide variety of sounds usually landing on indie with country influences involved. They can play more towards rock at time, more towards soft indie, either way it all comes out good.
