Cube2 - Hypercube:
Awful film.
I hated the whole futuristic feel to it. All the cubes were the same colour, the doors were all automatic instead of the handle, and the traps were rubbish compared to the first movie.
They thought that they were being clever going into the whole other dimension thing and it ruined the whole film.
Should of left it with just the first one.

Seriously though, I've never seen the second one, but film writers and stuff need to start realizing that if they're gonna make a sequel, make it ****ing good, because so many sequels have just made series and trilogies and stuff go to ****, like, for example, Saw, which had a crappy fourth installment and likely to be crappy fifth.

Good films both, but nothing spectacular. I'd have loved them when I was 18 mind

I told my friend to watch Cube last night. He did and he told me it was one of the best films he had seen this year.
I warned him about Cube2 though. :lol:

Watched L.A Confidential last night due to an overdose of boredom.

I had low expectations of the film because one previous night I began to watch it but fell asleep about 10 minutes into it.

This film has made it into my top 5 of all time. O.K, so to start, there's a good cast which features the likes of;
*Russell Crowe
*Kevin Spacey
*Danny Devito
*Guy Pearce

The setting of the film is good, based in L.A, presumably set in the 1950s/60s where all the rich,famous and successful resided. A lot of good quotes set up in a pretty dramatic, overwhelming dialogue.
Acting is great there's a lot of action and drama with such controversial twists piloting in and out of different sections of the film. There's bitter disputes and aswell as the primary story line, there's many more secondary stories gradually building up to fit in with the whole genre of the film.

I highly recommend this film (to those who will understand it).

I rate it 9/10

Saw is a good film and was something different but to say 'the best twist of any film'.....Hmmm, I'll just hold that to the saying 'each to their own'.
Saw just reminds me of Seven, Seven having a better ending though.

Saw 2 is just crap.

Saw 3 so so. Yes it's gruesome to a point where I felt sick (first few minutes). Story isn't that bad but just seemed to drift off somewhere....

saw 4 gritty but crappy also.

Saw 5 I liked a lot, I would have liked it a lot more if the pointless 'games' weren't happening every other minute. Group of 5 **** actors playing a **** game that wasted my time. As much as they may have a big part of the film (Spoiler, kinda) (I'm guessing they were part of Saw 2 and the House) I just couldn't give two ****s.

Rest of the story on the other hand made up for the lack of in 4 and 3 and kinda sows everything back into place, loosely but it's starting to drive on the right side of the road now......

It became more of a Drama (kinda) and seemed fine. Shoddy acting but whatever........

They are far from great movies, but it's just fun to watch.
