Six Flags Qiddiya | Saudi Arabia | Theme Park

I don’t know after watching a few POVs now it’s just a bit underwhelming and I know videos can’t do this thing justice but when you think of a 600ft 155mph rollercoaster in your mind it is just better than this one

I’m sure it is incredible but it’s like The big one for start, TTD for main and Formula Rossa for dessert.

I’m sure glad it exists and is open though, has pushed the envelope for what a coaster can do and may give other parks a bit of a push. In a world where Kingda Ka is getting pulled down it’s great that things as crazy as this continue to be built.

I'm absolutely fascinated by the thing, but I can't see it taking anyone's #1 spot and maybe there is a little bit of 'You were so busy thinking about what you could do, that you didn't stop to think if you should...'

But considering how utterly dead 2026 looked in terms of thrill coasters, this has more than made up for it, even if I can't imagine it's somewhere we'll be taking regular trips to.

As a massive fan of new-gen vekoma, I'm actually more excited by Iron Rattler.

As I said in the other topic, I have booked a trip for early February, so let's just hope for minimal teething problems. If FF opens today, it's already done better than Hyperia.

First review i've seen and it is very favourable.

It'll be interesting to see where people start ranking it in the coming weeks.

I think it looks absolutely incredible, to the point i'm fairly certain i'm going to travel there just to ride it.

Glad you're doing what I didn't when I visited Ferrari World on Day 2 of Mission Ferrari operation, or lack there of. :P

Continuing the round up of coaster videos, here's a good reverse POV, helpful for getting a better sense of speed:

Coaster Studios also has a best yet, forward facing POV:

Credit to @tomahawk on this one. 😅View attachment 40523

EDIT: we also have a back row view POV now. Don’t realize there were the black plastic spoiler things - gives an interesting vantage of the train articulation:

This looks more like a middle row I believe? But it makes the first part look a bit more thrilling, tho still more gentle than most intamin hypers. I think for such a record breaking ride you just have to err on the side of caution, rather have steel Beast than steel Son of Beast. I will say it flies over the giant camel back on this vid more than I perceived in previous vids

I’d love to know; which coaster or ride other than Falcon’s Flight do people think looks most impressive (or in the case of anyone who’s been, is most impressive)? With everyone getting swept up in the Falcon’s Flight hype, it’s easy to forget that there are a good few other coasters in this park!

Personally, I think Iron Rattler looks amazing; even if I haven’t yet ridden a new Vekoma thrill coaster, new Vekoma are evidently on fire, and Iron Rattler looks to have an excellent layout and also be on a scale that Vekoma have never built at before!

I also think Colossus looks brilliant; I personally absolutely love a GCI, and it looks like a nice big one with good pacing and airtime!

Spitfire looks very good as well, but I’m not sure it appeals to me quite as much as the two above and Falcon’s. The swing launch looks like good fun, and almost gives me miniature Top Thrill 2 vibes, but I’m not sure that I’ll enjoy an inverted top hat on that style of layout as much as a regular top hat.

For an opening day park, this might well have one of the most impressive coaster lineups I’ve seen! While Falcon’s is of course the crown jewel, it looks like the park has quite a well-rounded coaster lineup with plenty to flesh it out beyond Falcon’s; I feel like Iron Rattler, Colossus and Spitfire would all be worthy headline draws in their own right in most parks in the world!

I'm still personally most interested in the woodie. It's a fantastic looking layout and seems to haul very well. I'm just not sure how the infinity flyer trains run though. Supposedly they're worse than the millennium flyers.

It seems like a lot of people are mostly pumped for Iron Rattler. My only thing with the new Vekomas that holds them back from being among the best of the best are the vest restraints. Obviously here it's probably needed for the tilt, but the rest of the layout would be so much better with lap bars.

Falcon's Flight is obviously the Big Daddy, it's just tough to gauge how it will run, how much airtime it will have, etc. It really does seem to be all about the sheer speed. Stuff like Millennium Force and Fury 325 are probably the best comparisons I could make (at least from what I've ridden... Formula Rossa is probably a better example). Big focus on speed and drawn-out elements without being too intense. I generally prefer stuff that's a little snappier, hence why I'm more interested in Colossus. That downward launch seems to be the surprise highlight though.

Count me in for Colossus as well - there’s a lot of new element style GCI threw in here, even some outter banked turns, and I’m very curious to see how they play out. Like @Hixee said, mixing in Infinity Flyers also creates some interesting spice - this style train has mostly flopped when it comes to large-scale deployments. Would be interesting to see if there’s a change of fate for this deployment.

First ‘celebrity’ (?) ranking that I’ve heard of… Shawn declared Falcon’s Flight as his new number one, dethroning Steel Vengeance (!). Very impressive.… I didn’t see that coming.

We’ll need an indifferent @HeartlineCoaster review to balance it out (“S’alright. Did two laps, but wasn’t bothered, so we headed off on a camel and through a sandstorm to get an elusive wacky worm a mere 10 hours into the desert”).

I always think the opening, particularly of something as hotly anticipated as Falcon’s, will attract the more “extreme” views. I imagine that perspectives might mellow a tad over time.

With that said, you’d like to hope that a 600ft tall, 155mph, 14,000ft long coaster would rank pretty highly for most on the world stage! This ride is a pretty obscene feat of engineering, so for all that track and scale and some of those elements, you’d hope it wouldn’t be a dud!

I'm in a server with a couple of non-influencers who've ridden it and the reviews are also extremely favourable. One person describes the downwards launch as "the most insane thing I've ever experienced on a roller coaster" and another simply holds it in extremely high regard (declaring it his new #5 out of over 800 credits, although he does have Iron Rattler above at #3).
So I say believe the influencers, honestly. I'm not surprised in the slightest that it's getting good reviews!

Like many people, I watched the first POV's and thought... 'meh', but I gotta say, some of the rider-cam reaction videos that have started to appear over the last week tell a different story. That guy from Coaster Studios, for example, legit looks like he had an out-of-body experience, you can literally see the exact moment his soul returns to this dimension... and I'm totally sold.
I now think it looks incredible and am trying to figure out a way of getting there... urgently.

Was the closure tomorrow planned? I swear I remember noticing it on their calendar when I booked my tickets.

The anxiety of having already booked flights / tickets... every time I open this topic I dread that there'll be news of a spiting

Six Flags: "Yeah we need you to fix Falcon's Flight on...... Sunday."
Intamin: "Arghhh no 🙈 - we can't just up and repair it in a day?!"
Zamperla: "Hold my beer 😏..... for a nominal fee. No refunds 👀."

Thoughts and prayers for those riding on Monday 🙏
