Small News From The Theme Park Industry

Not sure if this has been mentioned elsewhere, but looks like James Sinclair, entrepreneur and social media business influencer, has purchased The Big Sheep in Devon. coaster and all.

Has some decent ideas to grow the business too.

Pretty sure it was an in-house job. Budget was minuscule and tbh it’s not even clear whether these are completely new trains or just heavily refurbished.
I’m fairly confident they’re made by Sunkid. You can barely make out their logo on the technical plaque on the train chassis, and an identical-looking train (maybe even the same one) was featured in a Blooloop article about their German subsidiary from last year:

Eco-focused Greenwood Family Park, in Y Felinheli, Wales, home to Green Dragon, the world’s only people-powered coaster, is up for sale with specialist leisure property consultants Newmark and Stripe Leisure for £1.25m ($1.688m). York-based Continuum Attractions bought the park in 2017, when the name was changed from Greenwood Forest Park, and it has invested £1.5m ($2.025m) into GreenWood over the last nine years. Source

Double post. Yay!
Ticiland in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, will close by the end of June, after originally opening in 2020. The park is home to an indoor Zierer Force Two. Source (in German)
We stopped there at the end of ECC's tour through the Alps last year. The people running the place were all really lovely and I feel bad that they'll have to close down the place after less than 6 years. That said, the park felt rather soulless and fairly bland, so I'm not surprised it never took off.

Jardin d'Acclimatation has announced a new pirate-themed area set to open at the end of this month. The area will come with multiple play structures and two family attractions — a pirate ship ride, and the relocation of the Kilic Lunapark wacky worm Fils du Dragon, now rethemed and renamed to Fort des Pirates. An additional water play area will open in June.
