^ Which game, there are three Halos..

The rides actually inspired by Half life, a sort of predecessor to Halo.

The concept of my ride was to have an immersive queueline too, cause basically its mostly inside, exploring this abandoned base. It'd be like one of those halloween haunt walk through, not for the faint hearted. Except without people jumping out at you and more emphasis on mystery.

It utilises claustraphobia, by having a series of narrow, low ceiling'd corridoors, with flickering lights and atmospheric sounds to add to the whole experience. You'll pass through many different room scenes, that will explain the story as you get further and further into the base until you reach the lab scene (and station) where you'll then board the train!

Its quite a unique queueline, for example at one stage the way you want to go is blocked, so you have to traverse through a lockeroom and the remains of destroyed employee bathrooms to get to where you want to go.

Then we have the ride itself which will be an intense experience right to the end finale, which will hopefully suprise first time riders as the monsters are revealed properly in the 'Mutation Cavern'. ;)

Which of those little pictures did you use, Crazycoaster, for your cartexture?

What does that mean? Firstly I used the cartextures that came with the game, and edited ontop of it adding my own colours and design. Its sort of a game of guessing as to what bit goes where, but with a bit of trial and error you'll get the feel of what each bit of the graphic represents on the train, then you go from there.

Ok, but, I have to ask......

bosqueasaltante07112318iw3.jpg

Does it look good, ok, or what?

I really don't like to spend a lot of time on my cartextures, so I just threw this together.

I was actually thinking on making the rider cars black, and the zero car, electricity for train 1, and the metal texture for train 2. What do you think?

^^It is very wierd. It looks too fake, but the colours are cool. I wouldn't have thought they were very realistic colours, and it does look ugly.

It's hard to describe, it looks cool, but is an eyesore to look at...

Well firstly, theres your problem there. Cartextures WILL take a long time. It looks like you've just put one whole colour over each cartexture, which then made it look stupid.

Look at the one I made for Corsair:

Its a bit more complex than yours, but still not that hard to do. Look at other peoples cartextures they've made for Speed coasters, or look at the real cartextures by using rcdb..

WOW I LOVE THAT b$m INVERT SHOULD BE A GREAT RIDE WHEN ITS COMPLETE (CAPITALS USED T EMPHASISE POINT)

I liked the corsair cartexture, but how did you get those on there, where they are?

The 1.6 hyper cartexture is at an angle for the front, and I'm just wondering how you did it. Did you get/make a template, or what?

Nope, I just used the templates that came with the game, Hence why it took so long. You can base your one on mine to get the shape right if you want.

Well, I looked for your cartexture, but didn't find it. Maybee you can PM me the cartexture, so that I can get everything right?

Hansixx( who makes the cartexture templates, along with toerti) said he won't tell me where I can get the one for 1.6. I also don't have one in my folders, except the regular one, which gets painted wierdly when I open it up in MS paint, see:

Well, for one thing I'd suggest you use a better program then paint. I use Microsoft Photodraw, its much more simple and easy than photoshop if you dont understand that.

I dont understand what happened to your picture there though ^

Here's my first project that I'm going to post on Coaster Force and about my sixth track ever so don't expect it to be fantastic...

Played around with some textures from that great page that CC recommended, and it turned out awesome.
Good thing that I did this now since there is a bug in Wings that makes it difficult to texture things on large objects, but fortunately there is a easy work around for that.

^Looks stunning. I like the way it interacts with the building, and from what I can see (not much) the layout looks good.

Can't wait for a release.

Some people were saying that MS Paint can't "see" the transparent part of the texture, and is causing it to wind up like that. I used gimp to try and make one, but I accidentally saved over it with that electricity picture you showed me.

Oooohh, more eye candy loefet. I'm really guessing it's an industrial themed amusement park?

Oh me loefet, that is an amazing looking coaster you got on your hands!

When will it be finished, any date in mind?

Since I took that screen shot I edited the building to look less then a box that it does in that picture.

And no no dates in mind, since I have a lot to do that are more important then this.

That building would have been fine for your purposes. Although you can add some decorative touches to make it more "stand-out-ish".
