Anyone with any Game or Gamestation "reward points" or credits should get them spent up ASAP. Looks like the chains may not be around in two weeks time.

In the mean time, I'm going to be heading down as often as I can to see what acts of desperation they succumb to and try and grab some bargains.

^ Ahh makes sense now. I was in a Game the other day and pretty much everything in there had been reduced significantly!

I went down and they had nothing for a bargain, lame.

And I can save goodbye to the nice discount I used to get <//3

Will they have Panzer Dragoon Saga?

I did on Saturday, didn't have much on it, but meh, got Crysis 2...

Nicky's been playing Skyward Sword, reminding me why I had much rage with how annoying the Motion Control is... Too nit-picky...

Super Pokémon Rumble is soooooooo addictive!

And Ridge Racer 3D is awesomesauce! It has all the old classic RAGE Racer tracks on it which makes me happy. There's a new one coming out on PS3 at the end of the month too! ^_^

I might pick up SPR for Maxi-Minor_Furie for his birthday while it's only £20, looks like the perfect under 10's game like all Pokemon ;)

I disliked Ridge Racer on the 3DS, it was just really bland but I've never found a Ridge Racer game I liked. It actually played okay, but the was no detail to the game world and the cars just felt like somethnig from Wipeout floating on the track. It was big fat "meh". The new PS3 version is supposed to be a real half-arsed effort too, or was that the Vita version?

SPR is only £15 in Game atm :)

Ridge Racer is VERY hit and miss, the only genuinely brilliant game was RAGE Racer on the PS1. But the 3D edition is the most fun since then. I like the Wipeout feel to it because I won't be getting a vita lol. But yes, the new version on PS3 will hopefully be a properly good game.

Oooh, and I have £3.50 in points to spend before they close too. I shall have to visit.

I found RR 3D fun enough, just bland. It was like, "I'm enjoying this, but what more is there?" There was just another set of tracks that looked the same, and unlocked cars that looked the same too. I like to feel I'm getting just a little more from a game.

Still, I traded it in for about £4 more than I paid for it :)

Yeah, I agree with you there the customisation was awful.

I just purchased a DS Lite for £35 (£28 after £7 reward monies taken off) so I can play GBA games again. Such a massive failing on the part of the 3DS. Yay for GAME dying! ^_^

Just looked and with a third game, I could net £100 or so to trade in Mario Land 3D and Mario Kart. So tempting as the Nintendo games are rarely touched. That could go a long way towards a 360 or Vita.

Definitely yay to them going down the pan

Yup I agree, there`s only two reasons I go into Game/Gamestation. 1. Our Gamestation has a nice little retro section, so its great for getting old games for like, a pound. 2. just to laugh at their ridiculous prices, their so expensive in there its crazy, only HMV is more of a rip off, I went into my local Game yesterday and there was no reductions whatsoever.
I get my games from blockbusters or supermarkets most of the time.

There are some reductions, but nothing major.

I think the biggest thing is the value of trade-ins. They're massively increasing them, especially for the games they can't get stock of any more. So it's all about if you can find something worth trading them against.

Like Mario 3DS is £35 trade in, plus £8.75 on top if you take in another three games to trade at the same time (it helps that Nintendo games hold their value). That's if the Game website is correct mind. So you may not get bargains off new stuff, but your current stuff could be worth a lot more than you think.

Yeah I love the little retro section in Gamestation, but thats it really.

Grainger Games and CEX are great for second hand games.

Yeah this is true, I heard they had increased their trade in values, which is remarkable because its always been quite poor. But thinking about it, it does make perfect logical sense, Electronic Arts are now refusing to do business with them, so I should think the value of Fifa, Tiger Woods, Mass Effect, NFS etc would be slightly higher then others.
Considering I only own a 360, and most of my games are yearly releases, they are probably of little value anyway, but yeah I see your point, I bet they would be worth slightly more, especially the EA titles.

Now, what to spend my trade-in on? Considering vaguely getting a cheap 360 actually... Hmmmmm...
